Early College Credit Program (ECCP): The Early College Credit Program statute allows students enrolled at Wisconsin public, charter, and private high schools to take up to 18 credits of college courses at UW or private Colleges System located in Wisconsin. Students in grades 9-12 must meet specific prerequisites for individual college courses. District approval must be obtained prior to course enrollment.

Start College Now (SCN): Start College Now will allow high school students the opportunity to take college courses at Wisconsin Technical Colleges. Student must have completed 10th grade with all requirements met, including a minimum of 12 high school credits completed toward graduation by the end of the high school semester in which the student gives notice of his/her intent to take a technical college course.

The District shall require a student who receives a failing grade in or who fails to complete a technical college course to reimburse the District for all amounts paid for the course on the student’s behalf. For a student who is a minor, the student’s parent or guardian is responsible for such reimbursement. If reimbursement is not made upon request, the student is ineligible for any further participation in the technical college course program and the Early College Credit Program unless the District Administrator determines that extenuating circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the student caused the student to be unable to successfully complete a course.
Transcripted Credit (TC): Students receive high school credits and college credits at the same time. Gateway's courses are taught by teachers at WHS, using the same materials. Courses listed as Transcripted (TC) follow an agreement with Gateway Technical College in which students may earn college credit for courses taken at the high school, providing certain requirements are met.
Although transcripted courses are designed in cooperation with Gateway Technical College, most schools in the Wisconsin Technical College System will recognize these courses for college credit.
UW-Whitewater Partners in Education (PIE): The PIE program allows high school students to earn college credit while still in high school. Qualified high school teachers lead a course with an approved university syllabus allowing students to experience the pace, rigor, and expectations that they will find on a college campus. PIE course grades appear on a UW-Whitewater college transcript and are accepted as college credit on our campus or can be transferred to other accredited colleges or universities. Students should check with individual institutions about their transfer policies.
VANguard: Virtual college courses allow high school students to experience free courses, earning high school and college credit, without leaving school. Video and online tools are used to deliver courses using one-to-one devices or your high school’s VANguard system.
*Disclaimer: All Partners in Education (PIE) and Transcripted Credit (TC) courses are subject to post-secondary (UW Whitewater and Gateway Tech. College) approval with WHS teachers. This agreement is subect to change at any time.
