Historical Theme: Culture:What is shared about the way people act, express themselves or are organized?
A very gradual shift away from hunting and gathering occurred when humans discovered two things - animals could be domesticated (raised for food and clothing) and farming (planting a crop that will yield food for now and in the future). Together, this is known as agriculture. Without a doubt, this agricultural revolution changed human societies forever.

It isn't even up for debate - the Agricultural Revolution is the event that had the greatest impact on humans. What? You don't agree?
Check out these videos, Birth of Civilization. They are a realistic portrayal of the gradual shift from hunter/gatherers to the beginnings of agriculture. (A big thank you to Mr. LaBar for these videos from his YouTube channel.)
