Career Exploration

Seniors who are interested in getting hands on experience in thier desiered career field can participate in an Internship. Weber School District partners with over 200 local businesses to give students a wide range selection. 

To add an internship to your schedule, seniors will need to meet with their counselor to determine availability in their schedule. Then meet with Mr. Grilz in the CTE office to finalize your placement. You will need to email Mr. Grilz to set up a meeting: wigrilz@wsd.net 

Juniors and Seniors have the opportunity to work on certification programs at OTech, the Ogden Weber Technical College. These programs are hands on and count toward high school CTE and Elective credit. 

To add an OTech progrm to your schedule, you will need to meet with your coulseor to fill out an approval form and determine how many class periods would be available. Then meet with Mrs. Hyde in the CTE office to finalize registration with OTech. You will need to email Mrs. Hyde to set up a meeting: brhyde1@wsd.net 

Keys to Success is a great program to encourage students to expore various collge and career pathways. Students can make an account and participate in various activies to earn points for rewards.
