SCHEDULES
A: Once you have paid your registration fees then you’ll be able to look up your schedule through the PowerSchool portal. After you have logged in, go to the "Navigation" bar and click "Grades and Attendance".
On the "Grades and Attendance" you'll see different tabs at the top for each school you have a class with.
"WIC" = Innovation in-person.
"WIO" = Innovation Freeflow.
“WOL” = Innovation Online.
“BHS” = Bonneville High.
“FHS” = Fremont High.
“RHS” = Roy High.
“WHS” = Weber High.
"WFHS" = West Field High
A: Students will look at the school the class is listed under and the period listed to determine their schedule.
Face-Time Classes: If there is a number (P4(A), P5(B), etc) in the period section, there is a specific time frame attached to the class. These are Face-time classes where students will need to be present and on time. These will either be listed under WIC for Weber Innovation in person classes or BHS/FHS/RHS/WHS/WFHS for boundary school classes.
Freeflow Classes are listed as FF(A). These classes are not tied to A day, that is just the online coding. Students can work on these classes throughout either A or B day. Room numbers for the teachers are provided for the students convenience.
Boundary High School Classes for Split Schedules: Classes taken at the boundary high school will be listed under "Grades and Attendance for (Boundary School)". BHS=Bonneville, FHS=Fremont, RHS=Roy, WHS=Weber, WFHS=West Field
College Concurrent Enrollment Classes will have the title of the class and the college it is associated with. There will also be a room number (IVC-interactive video conference room) or if it is online will just have online listed. For example, ENG 1010 WSU would be an English class through Weber State University. Other colleges we hold classes through are SUU (Southern Utah University) and SC (Snow College).
OTech Classes: Students taking courses at OTech, the Ogden Weber Technical College, will have these classes listed on their schedule as ACT “PROGRAM”. Their program will be listed and they will work with their OTech coordinator to determine when they will need to be present at OTech for classes.
Raven Time: This is an advisory class and is coded as AM(A), AA(A), BM(B), BA(B) on your schedule. Students are required to attend Raven Time (Advisory) in their assigned teacher's classroom. Raven Time will be held in the morning at 7:30 am and in the afternoon right after Lunch. Students will take attendance, work on a daily to-do list and have a mini check in with their teacher.
Innovation Online (Magnet): These classes follow the Weber School District calendar and are in place of a class you would take during the normal school day. For example, you could take Earth Systems through Innovation Online Magnet as it is currently not offered through Innovation High Freeflow. This class would show up on canvas the first week of the selected quarter/semester and due dates would follow the district calendar. You would not be able to move at your own pace like you would a freeflow class. These classes will be listed under "Grades and Attendance WOL".
A: A Raven Time teacher is an advisory teacher. This teacher tracks your progress in freeflow classes. You will meet with this teacher daily during advisory to make sure you are on track in your classes and set goals. If you are falling behind, your Raven Time teacher will help you figure out a schedule to get caught up in your work. If you are ahead of schedule, your Raven Time teacher can suggest other classes to work towards to continue staying ahead.
A: CE Contract is a study hall period for students who have a College Online class in their schedule who are new to online classes or need extra support in online classes. This class is mandatory for your first college online class! After you have successfully completed your first online college class, CE Contract is an optional support.
POWERSCHOOL
A: PowerSchool is the student management system that Weber School District will be using starting Fall of 2023. Student accounts will be automatically generated. Parents are highly encouraged to create an account. This will allow you to pay any registration/class fees, track student lunch accounts and track class progress/grades.
If you had a MyWeber account, you should be able to use the same login information for PowerSchool. To create a new parent account, follow this link: PowerSchool Parent Account. You will need to contact the front office, (801) 647-6500, to receive the student access ID and student access password to link your student(s) to your account. When you are creating your own password, do not use the @ symbol in your password.
To sign into PowerSchool, go to this website: https://weber.powerschool.com/public/home.html
A: PowerSchool has an app! Viewing your schedule is easiest on the app. Some things, like paying fees, are only available on a web browser.
A: Weber Innovation school day starts at 7:45 AM and ends at 1:55p.m. with the exception of Early Release days. PLTW STEM Essentials class for 9th grade students will start at 7:30 am.
Innovation High is an in-person school meaning students are expected to physically attend school regularly. Attendance is taken twice a day during Raven Time (Advisory). If a student is going to be absent, parents will need to call the attendance secretary and excuse the absense.
A: Students are encouraged to work in the classrooms where they can receive additional support from teachers as needed. Students are also allowed to work in the hallways at various work stations as long as they are on track with their class progress. If students are behind in classes, they will be required to work in a classroom until they are back on track. Students will meet with their i-Time teachers every other week to discuss class progress and additional privilages.
There are differing work station areas set up throughout the school to allow students to work in areas that work for them. Students are not allowed to work on the floors or in front of exits to comply with safety guidelines.
