The Weber State University Early College program is designed to allow high school students to take college classes that may not be offered at their local high school. Students participating in the Early College program have access to any first or second year college class available for Weber State students. These classes can be held on any of Weber State's campus sites, online, or through a hybrid format where there will be some in person or online meetings throughout the semester.
WSU tuition and fees will apply because these classes are taught through Weber State University directly. Concurrent Enrollment fees of $5 per credit hour are not applicable to the Early College program. Students are encouraged to apply for the Innovation High Early College Scholarship and Weber State's Early College Scholarship (see below).
Students who would like to participate in the Early College program must meet the following requirements:
Meet with your high school counselor to discuss options
Attend a WSU Early College Information Session with a WSU Advisor
Apply for Admissions as an Early College Student
This program is available for students grades 10-12.
Scholarships
Weber State University offers Early College Scholarships that students can apply for. These scholarships are based on first come first serve. It is recommended that students apply for scholarships as soon as possible.
Early College scholarship funds are only available for Fall and Spring semesters. Weber State and Innovation High do not offer scholarship options for the Summer.
Innovation High also offers an Early College Scholarship for qualifying students.
Must be an Innovation High student for 1 or more years before applying for the scholarship
Must have and maintain a GPA of 3.25 or higher
Must be on pace to graduate
Must earn a C- or higher, any grades earned that are lower than a C- will result in students/parents being required to pay back tuition/fees paid by the scholarship
Must sign the Early College Scholarship contract and maintain all requirements to keep the scholarship each semester

Weber State University offers the option for high school students to receive a Certificate of Completion indicating that they have fulfilled all General Education requirements for Weber State University. This is a great option for students who are not sure what program they would like to study but do want to get ahead in college credits. Students will complete around 27-30 college credits, a minimum of 10 credits being from Weber State University. Students will also need to maintain a minimum of 2.0 GPA in order to qualify.

Classes taught at Innovation High School have been highlighted for your convenience. If you would like to obtain your Certificate of Completion, you MUST meet with your high school counselor as well as a Weber State University CE Advisor!!! All credits earned must be verified by a Weber State representative before being approved to meet Certificate requirements.

Weber State University offers the option for high school students to receive an Associate Degree indicating that they have fulfilled all General Education requirements as well as elective credit requirements. This is a great option for students who are sure what their program of study is going to be and can put electives towards prerequisites for that program. Students who take elective credits without knowing their program of study may end up needing to take additional classes to meet prerequisites which could affect scholarships or financial aid options. If you are not sure whether an Associate Degree is the right fit for you, reach out to your counselor.
