A: A split schedule is when a student splits their time between Innovation High and their boundary high school (Bonneville, Fremont, Roy, Weber or West Field high). Students can take 2 or 4 classes from their boundary high school and the remaining classes at Innovation High. Your Innovation high counselor will build your schedule for both Innovation High and your boundary high school. When building your schedule, you will coordinate with your Innovation High counselor.
A: You are not required to get a Student ID from your boundary high school but it is recommended if you would like to attend after school events at your boundary school. The boundary high school’s Student ID badge can get you into dances and sporting events if you choose to purchase one.The cost of your Student ID badge at your boundary school will be up to $30. You will need to coordinate with your boundary high school to purchase one. Contact the boundary school's front office and they will help you with this request.
As part of your registration fees, you will automatically get a Student ID badge from Innovation High within the first few weeks of school.
A: Your counselor will be an Innovation High counselor assigned by last name. You can find your assigned counselor on the home page of the counseling website.
If you have questions about your schedule, transcript etc. then you will go to your Innovation High counselor. The boundary high school counselors do not have access to make changes to Innovation High student schedules.
A: Flex is the boundary school advisory period. Some of the boundary schools have this scheduled after 1/5th periods and others have it scheduled after 2/6th periods. The boundary school will usually add this class into your schedule the 2nd week of the semester.
