We are all done with our OREO writing, and the final published work should now be on Google Classroom. What a great unit we had, being able to share our opinions and learn to use evidence from our learning. We will be moving into our Effective Presentations in Writing and Speaking.

We are fortunate to be piloting a new Reading Comprehension program called Succès Syntaxique. It is a great way to learn more about grammar, verbs, sentence structure and more! It has been a great learning opportunity for our class! Ask your child all about it!

This week, we continue our Phonemic modules. Students will be immersed in French sounds/phonemic awareness and be able to practice this in class using their notebooks and whiteboards. Ask your child all about this during the upcoming week! with the second part. This will help with creating small reading groups to encourage and boost our reading fluency and comprehension.

We will continue our weekly word list for a spelling test at the end of the week. Each list will contain various words with a common phonemic theme. Lists will be provided on paper on Mondays and shared on Google Classroom for students and on my classroom website. Please help your child review the words and help them prepare for the test on THURSDAY. Ten words will be chosen at random for the test. GOOD LUCK! The words can be found here.

Our library days will be DAY 2. This will be this TUESDAY!

4/ Welcome to the ancient world! We will learn about live in the past, always connecting to our present world! We will finish our learning about what a Civilization is and how we can identify one

5/ It's our time to learn about Government and Politics, starting with the rights and responsibilities of all Canadians.

6/ Our world is a small place and Geopolitics takes the centre stage in our new unit, learning about the world around us and Canada's place within it!
