Great work coming back STRONG and ready for our learning this past week! Great job remembering our routines, our expectations and striving for the best version of yourself! Let's keep up the great work and dedication for the rest of 2026 and beyond!
Let's make this the best stretch of the year so far!
Ask your child all about our new learning this past week!
Every Tuesday - Day 2
Friday, January 16, 2026
In writing, we will continue exploring procedural writing by presenting a science experiment! This will be a fun and exciting way to share our procedural writing and share new ideas and concepts! Students will be preparing at home, also with easily accessible materials.
In reading, we will move to comprehension and to help with understanding and character development. Stay tuned for some great learning and ideas! This month, we will start with a Read-Aloud, a wonderful novel called Réfugés, which follows the lives of 3 different children who have to flee their homes due to conflict.
This week, we continue our Phonemic modules. Students will be immersed with French sounds/phonemic awareness and be able to practice this in class using their notebooks and whiteboards. Ask your child all about this, this upcoming week! with the second part. This will help with creating small reading groups to encourage and boost our reading fluency and comprehension.
Semaine 14 - Le son |f| Graphies du son /f/ avec "ph", "f" ou "ff"
We will continue our weekly word list for a spelling test at the end of the week. Each list will contain various words with a common phonemic theme. Lists will be provided on paper on Mondays and will also be shared on Google Classroom for students and on my classroom website. Please help your child review the words and help them prepare for the test on Friday. Ten words will be chosen at random for the test. GOOD LUCK! The words can be found here.
Our library days will be DAY 2. This will be this TUESDAY!
