About Nurse Zito
Some of you may not know that my first career was an elementary school teacher. I attended Illinois State University and graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. After working in Schaumburg as an instructional aide for a year, I was a classroom teacher in second and third grades. I graduated with a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University-Chicago in 2011.
I graduated with an Associate's degree in Nursing in 2014 and worked at a podiatry office during nursing school and after graduation. I continue to work there part time on weekends. Who knew how much my knowledge of foot and ankle injuries would come in handy at an elementary school?
August 2015 is when I started working at Central School. I am lucky to have found the perfect job that combines my two passions: teaching and nursing!
My School Nurse Certification was completed in 2017 from University of Illinois-Chicago.
Outside of school, I love to watch the Chicago Cubs! I also have an 11 year old puggle named Wrigley that I love to spoil rotten. I also have 6 nieces and nephews that I spend time with whenever I can. I am also an avid reader and movie fan.
