Willington Prep - Celebrating 140 years - 1885-2025
Even though it’s been a shorter week, we’ve packed plenty into our time in the classroom! In English, the children have been embracing their inner superheroes as they created their very own comic strips. We've been focusing on storytelling skills and using punctuation to bring their exciting adventures to life.
In Maths, we’ve been learning all about turns and positional language - an active and practical topic that always gets us moving and thinking in different ways.
Science has been especially hands-on this week as we planted seeds and wrote step-by-step instructions for how to grow them. The children were thoughtful and careful gardeners, and we’re all excited to see what will sprout!
Amidst all that, rehearsals for our upcoming assemblies are well underway - Year 1 has been working with enthusiasm and confidence.
Thank you for your continued support. Have a super weekend!
