Welcome back to all our families.We hope you all had a relaxing half term break. 

We are certainly looking forward to a busy term and are delighted to see all the children returning back so happy and confident. 

We have enjoyed introducing our new topic this term which is based on traditional and modern stories. 

This week we have had fun with The Gingerbread Man story and have carried out many activities based around The Gingerbread Man. 

After reading the story the children made their own Gingerbread puppets on sticks  which caused great excitement as these were used by the children as props while retelling the story. 

This highlight of the week for the children was making their own Gingerbread Men. Such fun was had as the children rolled out their own dough and created their own Gingerbread person. Some children declared they were making a Gingerbread Girl !! Each raisan was counted out while being stuck on to the Gingerbread person. 

The children were introduced to the interactive white board, which provided a fantastic learning tool for counting and numeral recognition. Each child had the chance to count how many buttons, eyes etc were on each Gingerbread Man followed by finding the correct numeral to click on to. An activity which will be repeated due to the progress the children are making.
