Willington Prep - Celebrating 140 years - 1885-2025
In English, we’ve dived into our new topic based on Dougal’s Deep-Sea Diary, exploring adjectives, nouns and verbs to bring our writing to life. We’ve been working hard on addition and subtraction in Maths, strengthening our fluency with number bonds.
Wednesday brought a mix of excitement and nerves as we headed off for our first swimming lesson. The children were terrific—showing great enthusiasm and resilience—and were a real credit to the school.
As if that wasn’t exciting enough, Thursday saw the children dressing up as their favourite book characters for World Book Day! They thoroughly enjoyed moving around the school, listening to different teachers share incredible stories.
After such a fantastic week, we can’t wait to see what next week brings!
