We had our first house meeting this week and are ready and eager to compete furiously in all the upcoming competitions. In the classroom we inscribed our names in Greek on a wax tablet and compared ancient and modern Olympic sports. We are writing our own versions of Theseus and the Minotaur in a comic strip and are having fun employing many gruesome adjectives. We took the story to our drama lesson and acted out some scenes. In Maths we have been looking at multiples, estimating and addition and there is huge enthusiasm for the multiplication race and in Science we are learning about food groups and their roles in a healthy diet. Most of the children are really enjoying their reading at home and it is lovely to hear their thoughts on their books.
Have a great weekend.
