Year 2

What an incredibly exciting week it’s been in Year 2, thanks to our fantastic two-day residential trip! Before we set off, we still managed to squeeze in some classroom learning, including phonics activities and colourful maths sheets focused on multiples. However, the majority of this week’s learning took place in the great outdoors. At High Ashurst, our goals were to develop independence, resilience and perseverance, while also strengthening listening and teamwork skills. The children truly impressed both the teachers and the activity leaders with their enthusiasm and determination. From climbing to campfires, the photos say it all…  On Friday morning, we were all part of a special moment in our school's rich history as the whole school gathered for a photograph to commemorate 140 years of Willington!
