We’ve had a fantastic week, full of learning and festive cheer!
In English, we brought our story plans to life by starting to write the opening, build up and climax for our own fantasy tales, each with a unique twist. Our drama lesson was a highlight as we began reading the script for our spring production—we’re certain you’ll love what our teachers have chosen!
In maths, we explored position and direction with Christmas-themed activities that added an extra sparkle to our lessons. In science, we launched our new topic on sound, learning how vibrations create sound and how it travels through the ear. By the end, “Good Vibrations” by The Beach Boys was stuck in all our heads!
In geography, we delved into coastal features, while in history, we were amazed by how much we’ve learnt about the Romans this term. Keeping with the festive theme in RS, we revisited the Nativity story and used Google Forms to create quizzes for our friends—a fun way to test our knowledge.
One of the week’s highlights was the delightful French café set up by Madame Veloso. We loved practising our French, learning to order food, discuss prices, and use polite greetings.
We hope everyone enjoyed our Christmas Fayre—what a wonderful way to end the week! Wishing you all a joyful and festive weekend!
