In the lead up to Christmas, we have been busy in the Art Department making Christmas Baubles with Reception to Year 3, which the children will take home next week. These are so lovely, with beautiful patterns in sparkly gold and silver.
It has been a real pleasure to see the work in Year 4 start to be completed, with fineliner outlines added, inspired by the bold lines of Michael Craig Martin.
Year 5 have been learning how to add subtle shadows and highlights into their still life work and I have been so impressed with the colour mixing and control of a range of brushstrokes.
Finally, Year 6 have begun to assemble their Design Technology Automaton project which is so exciting to see the sepearte parts of wood and cardboard come together.
I am pleased to announce that as of January there will be an after school Creative Space Club for Years 3 and 4 every Tuesday and an Arts Masters Club for Years 5 and 6 every Thursday.
Warm Regards,
Miss Beere
