We've had an eventful penultimate week of term, with the highlight being the KS1 Nativity on Wednesday. After weeks of dedicated rehearsals, the Year 2 children delivered a delightful performance, singing and acting with enthusiasm. They did themselves, their parents, and us proud! In Maths, we wrapped up the term by focusing on time. Pupils practiced telling and writing the time to quarter past and quarter to the hour and learned to read and draw clock hands to show times to the nearest five minutes. In English, we began exploring traditional tales with some lively role-play as characters from Hansel and Gretel—more of this to come next term! In History, we concluded our Tudors topic by creating a timeline of Tudor monarchs, helping the children consolidate their learning. Meanwhile, in Geography, we identified key geographical features of London using picture cards, sparking curiosity and discussion. We ended the week on a festive note with the much-anticipated and bustling Christmas fair on Friday—a wonderful way to kick off the holiday season. We look forward to all the exciting festivities planned for the final week before Christmas!
