Year 3

The year 3 children are completely at home now and are loving all their topics. This week they finished their colourful Theseus and the Minotaur story maps and presented them to the class with much enthusiasm, often accompanied by illustrative actions.  Our maths number work covered odds and evens and negative numbers and it was very exciting to start using our Chromebooks to research Greek gods and goddesses. 

In Science we are learning the function of the organs in the human body and in the lab we conducted a pleasingly sludgy experiment with crackers and soda water to examine how the body breaks down food. The footballers had their first fixture - which they won(!) - while the netballers are really enjoying playing at Goals.
