It has been another bustling week in Year 1, with our little learners buzzing like busy bees through a hive of activities. We have dived deep into the world of phonics, exploring the digraphs 've', 'ai', and 'oi', as well as the trigraph 'tch'.
We embarked on a magical journey in English with 'One Snowy Night' by Nick Butterworth. The children have been enthusiastically segmenting words, reenacting their favourite parts, and even stepping into Percy's shoes by writing diary entries as if they were him. Our Maths explorations have led us to the intriguing world of 2D shapes, identifying their properties with keen interest.
Science has brought a tasty twist as we tested our sense of taste. It's no surprise that chocolate emerged as the firm favourite!
It's been another wonderful and fun-packed week in Year 1.
We wish you a super weekend ahead.
