This week in Reception, we had lots of fun learning new sounds and numbers! We focused on the sounds 'p,' 'i,' and 'n,' getting creative with some fantastic activities. We painted colourful pigs and enjoyed trying exciting fruits that begin with 'p.' We also experimented with ink for the sound 'i' and made delicious chocolate 'nests' to represent the sound 'n'—a definite favourite!
In Maths, we continued our number adventures, exploring numbers 2, 3, and 4. We practised recognising and forming these numbers through a variety of hands-on activities, such as using playdough and writing in the sand or chalk. Additionally, we delved into shapes, focusing on triangles. The children loved making their own fish designs using triangles of different sizes, which brought a playful twist to our shape exploration. It’s been an exciting and creative week of learning!
Thank you to Olivia's mum for coming to talk to us about Argentina.
We wish you all a good weekend.
