Equitable Excellence Scholarship

Over $1.8 million dollars in scholarships are awarded to students from across the nation each year. Students have the opportunity to receive a $2500 or $20,000 scholarship. Successful applicants come from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, but all share similar drive, determination, and strong character. They must demonstrate courage, strength, and wisdom as shown by community impact through volunteer service. Deadline is December 18, 2023, but only the first 10,000 applications will be accepted, so you are encouraged to apply early.

FAFSA

While filing the FAFSA is not a scholarship, it is an essential part of seeking scholarships and financial aid for college. Many scholarship programs use FAFSA calculations to determine financial need. Additionally, colleges and universities award federal financial aid dollars based on a first-come, first-served basis, so you want to be sure you are considered for aid you may be eligible to receive. The FAFSA form is expected to be released in December 2023.

Lenoir-Rhyne Teaching Scholars

This scholarship program was developed to provide financial aid and ongoing enrichment activities for students who wish to pursue teaching as a career. Scholars receive an award of $5500 a year in addition to all other aid for which they qualify. A Scholar typically receives close to $20,000 annually to support their education at Lenoir-Rhyne. This is a highly competitive program and applicants should have a record of academic excellence and portray a deep desire to serve students through a career in teaching. Priority consideration will be given to application received by December 1, but applications will be accepted until all positions are filled.

NC Assist Scholarship Contest
