This week we practiced the game (dreidel) we will be playing with 3rd grade students for Holidays Around the World. It was a fun way to learn the game and become "experts" so we can help guide the 3rd graders!
We also held our in-class Spelling Bee. Kean will representing our advisory at the school-wide Spelling Bee! It will be January 21st at 5:30PM if you want to cheer him on!

Attendance Challenge: HERE for the Hot Cocoa!
Our Here for the Hot Cocoa Attendance Challenge is back! From December 1st - 19th grade levels will be competing to win a hot cocoa celebration. The grade level with the highest attendance percentage from K-5, middle school, and high school will win a hot cocoa celebration! More important than the hot cocoa is knowing that students who don’t show up for school regularly miss out on fundamental reading and math skills and the chance to build a habit of good attendance that will carry them into college and careers.

This week, students will finish their Synesthetic Art projects. They will put the finishing touches on their compositions, line design, colors, and collage elements in order to represent their favorite songs.
Artists will have the opportunity to work with winter themed art stations. There will be snowflake making, card making, book mark making, and games!
