We will identify and discuss specific strategies for managing emotions. 

Managing Emotions: Effectively and appropriately dealing with emotions.

I-statement: Using the words "I feel ___ when you ___. Could you ___?" to express emotions.

Flexible Thinking: Thinking about a situation in multiple ways. 

For this lesson, we are going to target how we can deal with our feelings in healthy ways.  To do that, we are going to start by identifying some basic emotions. 

Now that we have reviewed some basic emotions, let's work on rephrasing our thinking.  Take each scenario and reframe the thought to be more positive and productive. Remember to write your responses in complete sentences.

I Statements

One healthy way to manage your emotions is being able to express them.  One strategy we'll earn for this is using I-statements.  Review the resources below and then write your own I statements in complete sentences for assignment 2.8.
