Japanese Club

After joining Japanese Club, we held couple workshops during school activities such as Japanese teaching, origami workshop, selling omamori/handmade fan/Japanese snacks to spread Japanese culture. I enjoyed learning different culture and letting more people to know about Japanese culture. I'm regretting that I didn't join the club earlier and I didn't completely put myself in the club activities during the senior year.

Computer Science Club

During international day, me and my friends helped Computer Science club selling food that are made using vegetable such as vietnamese roll and salad. We bought materials and made those food by ourselves, it was new to me to use raw vegetable to make food like vietnamese rolls.

Also, we sold candy canes and Christmas snack in Onnut campus and Bangna campus during a week before winter break to celebrate upcoming Christmas. Since the earning will go to a non-profit organization, we tried hard on selling all of the stuff and I learned a lot from selling them. It was hard for me to overcome shyness at first.

Chinese New Year Show

Before Chinese New Year, I helped presenting Chinese New Year Show held by Chinese Club and helped hosting the show. Even though I'm a native speaker, it was still really hard for me to speak Mandarin in a professional way as a host. Thus, I practised a lot on speaking fluently and without any accent since I was raised in province that use cantonese as the first official language. I improved my mandarin a lot through this activity because I spent time to communicate with different performers and teachers in Chinese departement to make sure what I'm going to present is appropriate. I was happy that everyone was enjoy the performing and tried their best to show how colorful Chinese culture is. I also enjoy learning my own culture and I feel more like home while hosting the Chinese cultural show.
