Voluntary of  Broadcasting  club of KYS

During the midterm break in October, I returned to China, I was invited by my friends in the class of 2019 to participate in the Broadcasting club showcase of Keyuan school as a guest and a volunteer. It was a three-day event. On the second day, I participated in an interview with members of the Broadcasting club as a guest, and was promoted in club's broadcast at noon and shared my experience in the Broadcasting club with students studying at KYS in order to show the diverse activities in the club and promoted new students to join the Broadcasting club. As an introvert, it is actually very difficult to share my own experience, so I was also very nervous during the interview.

After the interview, I also helped the Broadcasting club design new recruitment posters as a volunteer, and helped the club arrange the showcase booth. When making the posters, I referred to the suggestions of many Broadcasting club members and the traditional slogan of KYS. I chose the background of the poster to be composed of water and basic color, with a simple slogan combined chinese and english --- "Listen to your heart". In the progress of designing poster, it took a lot of time looking for advice and students' thoughts of our school and I worried about if my design can help club welcoming new members, but eventually the booth perfectly completed.

I appreciate this experience and I'm very glad to see that my former friends are still chasing the things they love. I hope that I can also be myself in the future.

Origami workshop

*Creative/Service

During the spirit week, I participated in the origami workshop held by the Japanese club. Origami is also understood as art of folding objects out of paper to create both two-dimensional and three-dimensional subjects. It is very novel and interesting to me A manual.

The most interesting origami is a ball made of 8 small H-square colored paper folded and combined. It looks like a ball made of bamboo, delicate and interesting. After experiencing the workshop, I learned from the club leader, the Japanese club will hold another workshop for the elementary school and give origami balls to these children. My friends and I made a lot of origami balls to give to the children of G1 school as souvenirs.

Origami is pretty Interesting, it is also a manifestation of the fusion of Chinese culture and Japanese culture. At the same time, the workshop organized by the Japanese club helps to promote origami and Japanese culture, which is a very meaningful thing!
