Shenzhen Volunteer

This winter, I went back to Shenzhen again. Many stray animals had difficulty surviving in winter due to the cold weather. My mom and I participated in a stray cat and dog adoption activity organized by Shenzhen volunteers and the collab of Shenzhen volunteers and Shenzhen Quanxinquanyi Animal Protection Center organized as a NGO voluntary organization. There are three adoption sites have been held at the same time and my mother and I participated in the Luohu adoption site in the center of Shenzhen.

My main work is to stay at the checkout counter of the booth, help the adopter to register their personal information and collect the deposit in a small plastic bag. The deposit is to ensure that the adopter will not abandon the animal again after adopting it, and the adopter can get the deposit back one year after they adopt their pets. 

I think this is a very meaningful activity, it not only ensures that small animals can survive, but also reduces the number of stray animals on the street and makes the appearance of Shenzhen better.
