Hua Hin Paws Trip (Oct. 2017)

1: Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth

2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process

5: Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively

6: Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance

This trip was organized by my fellow classmates as a way to give back to the community. In Thailand the issue of stray dogs and cats have been an issue for a while as they are not properly taken care of and can get a number of diseases without proper medical care. At the shelter we volunteered to help out with the bathing of puppies. During the visit we were also able to donate special shampoos and care for the animals at the center. The main focus of the whole trip was more on the awareness of the issue as the animals needed homes to be taken care of and the issue of the care of street dogs needed to be attended to.
