Deaf learners are referred to a special school deaf children by medical practitioners. These applications are entered into a central database and shared with all stakeholders. After screening and observation processes have been concluded, the application is presented at a sifting/placement meeting. The recommendations for placement are then submitted to the Director: Inclusive and Specialized Education Support for final approval. See info graphic below.
