Follow a natural language acquisition approach. Use auditory modality and the application of auditory verbal principles. Exposes the child to daylong listening through the use of hearing aids or a cochlear implant. Intensive language learning environment in acoustically orientated buildings with high illumination levels leads the child to linguistic competence. A spoken language is used as a language of learning and teaching.

Hearing aids, Cochlear Implants and FM Systems are used to amplify residual hearing so that children can develop their listening skills and develop a spoken language. Always aim to make the best use of the residual hearing the children have left.
