Juniors and seniors are eligible to participate in the dual enrollment (DE) program where college credit is earned through postsecondary partners. Dual enrollment courses are taught by college/university professors. The course may be offered at the high school campus or the college/university campus. Students should verify location prior to registering for the course. The location also may change based on the availability of dual enrollment professors.
High school and college credit are only awarded upon successful completion of the dual enrollment course.
Tuition, fees, and college textbooks are required as part of the dual enrollment program. Some fees may be covered through student scholarship/grant funds. If students register for courses on the university/college campus, students must provide their own transportation to and from the campus.
Students should also understand that grades earned in dual enrollment courses, whether taken at the high school or college/university, are part of the postsecondary (college or university) transcript and the high school transcript. These grades become part of their high school and postsecondary permanent record.
