Throughout the year employers may ask the Careers Adviser, Mrs Greenstreet, if there are students wanting to apply for either a part-time or full-time jobs.
To take advantage of these opportunities, you need to do 3 things:
Make an appointment to see the Careers Adviser and make yourself known - they can't suggest you for a job if they don't know you!
Keep a close eye on the School Notices, under the Careers & Transition section - when jobs come up, we advertise them there
Check the Wellington College Careers Facebook page frequently. Like the page to make sure you are notified of any new positions that become know to us
Student Job Search is a site supporting students who are seeking casual, part time work over the holidays. If you are enrolled in a tertiary institution for next year, semester 1, this service is available to you at no charge. You can contact them by phone on 0800 757 562 or online at www.sjs.co.nz. They also advertise jobs that often fit around your studies.
Register to Teen Jobs, a free to use website for finding you part time jobs! Just select what, where and when you're available to work and employers come to you. Jobs can be anything from household work like babysitting and lawn mowing, through to more permanent jobs like shop assistant or cafe type roles. Go to www.teenjobs.co.nz/register to register.
