When the time comes to apply for programmes & courses at an Australian university, NZQA will assess your results and provide an entrance rank called an ATAR. This will be a number between 0.00 and 99.95 with increments of 0.05. An ATAR of 80.00 indicates that you are in the top 20 per cent of your academic age group (approx). Keep this in mind as a guide when you check the entry requirements for their programmes (as a conversion is not possible 'before' you apply). Also check out their step by step link on how to apply.
