Curriculum Fair Resources

Please join us for the Wayzata High School Curriculum Fair & Teacher Meet-and-Greet on Wednesday, February 4, from 5:00 - 8:30 p.m. Students are welcome to attend, as long as they are accompanied by their parent(s)/guardian(s).

Schedule of Events

• 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. - Building Tours at building entrances, offered by WHS Student Ambassadors

• 5:00 - 5:45 p.m. - Incoming Parent/Guardian Orientation Presentation in Auditorium 1 – Students with last names A-LAQ

• 6:30 - 7:15 p.m. - Incoming Parent/Guardian Orientation Presentation in Auditorium 1 – Students with last names LAR-Z

• 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. - Course Registration & Department Showcase / Department Seminars / Teacher “Meet & Greet,” self-guided; see map for locations

The Wayzata High School Course Catalog is now available online and on student iPads; this resource is your complete guide to next year's course registration. Please take the time to review the many courses we offer and make your course selections in Skyward by Monday, February 16. Students must choose their courses carefully, as this information is what we use to build sections, hire teachers, and develop the master high school schedule. We suggest families visit our online course catalog, browse the courses we offer, develop a list of courses students are interested in, and then log in to Skyward to make their course selections by Monday, February 16. Families may also access this information by visiting https://www.wayzataschools.org/whs/academics/registration.

Navigating Course Registration

We recommend you proceed with the following steps:

1. Visit the WHS Course Catalog.

2. Download a Registration Worksheet. 

3. Browse courses by department area and/or interest. Use the search button at the top of the site as needed. Watch presentations/videos as linked next to each course. Reach out to the teachers in each course if you have questions specific to that course.

4. Write down courses you are interested in taking, including required courses, electives, and potential alternate courses.

5. Ask questions by clicking the "Questions" button at the bottom of the website, or attend our Wayzata High School Curriculum Fair & Teacher Meet-and-Greet on Wednesday, February 4.

Log in to Skyward and enter your course selections by Monday, February 16. Follow the online registration instructions at the bottom of the registration worksheet. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you on February 4!
