NAIA

In order to play sports at an NAIA school, students must register with the NAIA Eligibility Center at www.playnaia.org/eligibility-center.

If you are considering playing a sport at an NAIA school, inform your counselor! They will help you with registration and make sure you are eligible by enrolling in the correct courses.

HOW TO REGISTER:

  1. Submit your profile at www.playnaia.org/eligibility-center.
  2. Send your transcript to the NAIA Eligibility Center. Directions can be found here for how you can send your transcript.
  3. Request your SAT or ACT score to be sent directly from the testing agency to the NAIA Eligibility Center by using the code 9876.

WHEN TO REGISTER WITH THE NAIA:

Students may register with the NAIA after their junior year or midway through their senior year.

NAIA ELIGIBILITY

In order to be considered eligible with the NAIA after your junior year, students must meet all of the following requirements:

  • Will enroll at an NAIA institution immediately after high school graduation.
  • Have at least a 3.0 GPA.
  • Have met one of the minimum test score requirements:
    • 860 on the SAT
    • 16 on the ACT

In order to be considered eligible midway through your senior year, students must meet all of the following requirements:

  • Will enroll at an NAIA institution immediately after high school graduation.
  • Have at least a 2.5 GPA.
  • Have met one of the minimum test score requirements:
    • 860 on the SAT
    • 16 on the ACT

NAIA & THE SAT

When you register for the SAT or ACT, use the NAIA code of 9876 in order for your scores to be sent directly to the Eligibility Center from the testing agency. The NAIA will not accept test scores from your transcript.
