General Information
CLEP exams are offered at official CLEP test centers (many college campuses) that allow students to take a college-level exam, in hopes of receiving a qualifying score that will earn college credit.
Anyone can take a CLEP exam.
Highly recommended for AP students that scored a 2 on AP exam.
Cost is $90 plus a test administration fee (approximately $25).
Students receive their scores immediately (except College Composition and Spanish with Writing).
CLEP exams are multiple choice.
CLEP exams take approximately 90-120 minutes to complete.
CLEP exams are offered year-round at more than 2,000 centers worldwide.

Modern States is a non-profit educational alliance dedicated to college access for all. In 2017, they launched the program titled "Freshman Year for Free".
There are over 30 courses available through Modern States. When you complete the Modern States course, your CLEP exam fee is paid for you!
