Imagining

Another Day - Sit in your SP for 20 minutes. Imagine that you are the size of an ant. How would your SP look different? Can you draw a picture or tell a story about your ant’s adventures?

2-3: Write and ask an adult for help with challenging words

After you are done, review your spelling with a parent or guardian. Talk about how to spell anything you misspelled.

Another Day - Sit in your SP for 20 minutes. Imagine that you are a bird flying or perching above your SP. What does the top of your SP look like? What parts of it do you think the birds can see? How big or small would things look? Would you notice different things than you do on the ground? Draw a picture of your SP from your bird's eye view. If you're having trouble try standing up and drawing it in the dirt with a stick. It can be easier to visualize if you are looking down at your drawing the same way a bird would be looking at your SP. Make up a story about what bird-you sees from his or her perch above your Special Spot.

Another Day - Pick one of the objects that you found on a collecting day and think about how it might have gotten to your SP. Was it brought there by you or someone in your family? Someone else? An animal? What do you think they were doing when they left it there? Write a story about how it came to rest in your special spot.
