STUDENT FUTURES

STUDENT FUTURES

Work-related learning is an important part of our Key Stage 4 curriculum. Warden Park Academy is committed to promoting:

    • Learning through experience of work whether that be formal work experience or enterprise activities, including Young Enterprise.

    • Learning about work through careers education and an appreciation of work and enterprise.

    • Learning the skills required for work, and helping students become 'future ready'.

We believe that all young people need career education as part of full preparation for an adult life in which they will contribute to the country’s economic well-being.

More detail regarding our careers provision can be found on the school website, however some key elements include;

  • Specific careers lessons during 'Learning about Life'.

  • Optional 'careers cafes' that students can attend.

  • Subject specific careers advice delivered via regular lessons and curriculum.

  • All students will attend a one week work experience placement in the summer term whilst students are in Year 10. Parents will be given guidance and support to select an appropriate placement for their child. The process begins when students are in the Autumn term of Year 10.
