Preparedness (Prepared) - ready to to deal with, learn, and/or participate
At WHS students and staff should be ready to work and learn. Being prepared with homework, questions, and motivation are great steps to learning as much as possible. This also means getting to class on time, with the correct materials, and charged chromebooks.
Why is this important?
Preparation is a key component of being ready to effectively work and learn and allows people to maximize their time, resources, and experience.
When will you need to utilize this skill?
Students will need to prepare for daily instruction and assessments in their classes. Students participating in sports, clubs, and/or extracurricular activities will need to be prepared for practices, games, events, and meetings.
What will students do to practice these skills?
Being prepared with homework, questions, and motivation are great steps to learning as much as possible. This also means getting to class, meetings, practices, and games on time and ready for what is expected of you and with the correct materials and charged chromebooks. Preparation also involves students being mindful at home by implementing practices like planning ahead for the next day, getting adequate sleep, and maintaining a routine.
How will teachers help students master these skills?
Staff will use Google Classroom and apps like Student Sqaure to communicate clearly with students about assignments and assessments.
