Consistent (con·sist·ent) - something that is done in the same way over time
At WHS students should have a consistent message in each class regarding expectations, deadlines, and behavior. Students should also follow through with consistent effort in each class. This includes but is not limited to, study habits, homework completion, and engagement in class.
Why is this important?
Using a consistent level of effort in school will help you develop meaningful routines and mindsets that can be built upon and used in all of your years in high school and in life beyond high school.
When will you need to utilize this skill?
In the present moment, you will need to demonstrate and exert consistent effort in your high school classes, clubs, extracurricular activities, and sports. In the future, you will need to demonstrate consistent effort to have a successful and fulfilling career and personal life.
What will students do to practice these skills?
In school, you can demonstrate consistent effort in all of your classes by studying, implementing effective study habits, completing homework and classwork, and participating in class. Outside of school, you can demonstrate consistent effort by showing up to club meetings and team practices on time, giving your best during games, and practicing independently.
How will teachers help students master these skills?
Teachers in each class will have a consistent message regarding expectations, deadlines, and behavior.
