E-mobility

The goal of E-mobility research are various areas. The development deals with the programming of drivetrain control algorithms with the scope of controlling one or more electric motors used for individual vehicle wheels. AI and its offshoots such as DNN are also used as part of the developed control algorithms. The research is further focused on the use of AI in the area of prediction of dynamic and other vehicle variables, which are needed for correct driving of electric cars or hybrids. MIL - Model in the Loop, RCP - Rapid Control Prototyping, SIL - Software in the Loop, PIL - Processor in the Loop, HIL - Hardware in the Loop and VIL - Vehicle in the Loop are used for testing the developed control algorithms. in connection with the virtual world representing the real environment of the transport infrastructure in the Czech Republic. This makes it possible to solve various management optimizations in terms of vehicle energy management in the drivetrain area (electric motor, converter, BMS, battery), but also in terms of other devices such as heating, air conditioning, etc. All research cannot be done without testing on experimental vehicles or testing and measurement of real components in laboratories to obtain input values for control algorithms. For this purpose, the ECU is being developed for the deployment of control algorithms in vehicles.

Research results from this area are continuously used to modernize study plans in bachelor's, master's and doctoral studies
