Collaborative Classrooms VU

The Collaborative Classroom VU are state-of-art classrooms with displays for student groups and the teacher. The students can display each of their screens on the groups screen. The teacher can push the teacher's screen to the students or push a student's screen to the big screen. And all wirelessly via Wifi!

Setup for students

Students sit in groups around their own (project)table and have a common large group display (group screen) they can jointly use to wirelessly project the screens of their own device (laptop, tablet, even phone).

Setup for teachers

Teachers have a large display for the whole class. Teachers can project the screen of their own laptop wirelessly or the central computer and can give a student the possibility to project their screen. The teacher can also allow for the projection of multiple screens at the same time.

This possibility to easily share screens offers extra options to optimize collaborative learning and teaching in classrooms.

Active blended learning practices for Blended Learning

With active blended learning, the acquisition of knowledge shifts partly to the online learning environment. The processing of the subject matter and the deepening of understanding then take place more during the contact time. In the Collaborative Classroom, this deepening can for example working collaboratively in real-time on data. As a teacher you can give collaborative assignments for discussing problems, problem solving and presenting solutions.
