Join us in celebrating their hard work and positive impact! Please note, this once a month celebration will be replacing our STAR student breakfast.
Attendance Matters—Every Day & On Time!
Being at school and on time each day helps our Jr. Patriots start strong and stay on track with their learning. Morning routines and first lessons set the tone for the day, and every minute counts. We understand that sometimes children may be too sick to attend, and we want them to stay home to rest and recover when that happens. Otherwise, we encourage all students to be present and ready to learn each day. Thank you for helping your child build strong habits and make the most of every school day!

Cecil Picard is very proud of our first Million Word Reader this year—Graceyn Diz! 📚✨ Graceyn’s dedication to reading is an amazing example for all of our Jr. Patriots.
Using “clay and reeds” CPE 4th graders went back in time this week! Just as Mesopotamian scribes practiced forming the first writing system in 3000 BCE, SS students practiced writing their initials in cuneiform style.
Huge congrats to Mrs. Emily's class for earning 20 chain links! They celebrated this achievement with a Pajama Day! Keep up the great work!
Cecil Picard had a great time celebrating the NVHS Pep Rally! 🎉 Our Jr. Patriots showed their school spirit with cheers, smiles, and plenty of excitement as we supported our NVHS friends. What an awesome way to build community and Patriot pride—go team!
Cecil Picard AR 2025-2026
This year, we’re taking our AR reading goals to the next level! 📚 Our mission is to help every Jr. Patriot grow as a reader and develop a true love for books. Each nine weeks, students will work toward their own AR reading goals—and your encouragement at home is the secret ingredient to their success.
Let’s cheer them on, celebrate their progress, and make this our biggest reading year yet! Together, we can inspire a school full of lifelong readers! 💙❤️
Each 9 weeks students will take the STAR test. An individual goal will be given to each student based on their STAR results. AR Parties will be attended by students who make 100% of their goal and have at least 85% accuracy.

By recognizing and rewarding positive actions, we’re building a respectful, productive, and fun school community.

Celebrations take place at the end of every grading period. Students who go the entire grading period without any major office referrals get to participate in these events. Students start fresh for every grading period event.

📚 Readers are Leaders – Year 2! 📚
We’re kicking off another exciting school year with the Million Word Reader Challenge – Year 2! Last year, our Jr. Patriots read an incredible amount, and we can’t wait to see them soar even higher this year!
Reading opens doors to knowledge, creativity, focus, and lifelong learning. Whether it’s reading aloud together, talking about a favorite book, or carving out quiet reading time each day – every word counts toward our goal!
Families, we need YOU to join the challenge! Let’s inspire our students to not only become stronger readers but to fall in love with reading for life.
Let’s make this another record-breaking year!
Happy Reading! 💙❤️
