🌟 Introducing Shining Stars Celebrations! 🌟
We’re thrilled to launch a new event at Cecil Picard to honor our Star Students each month who consistently demonstrate integrity, resilience, respect, and responsibility. Join us in celebrating their hard work and positive impact! Please note, this once a month celebration will be replacing our STAR student breakfast.
Mrs. Darbi’s Third Graders created creatures by using instructions for traits from two parent creatures. Students then compared their creatures and discussed the similarities and variations in their offspring creatures!
Congratulations to our brand-new 5th Grade Beta Club Officers at Cecil Picard Elementary!

Cecil Picard AR 2025-2026
This year, we’re taking our AR reading goals to the next level! 📚 Our mission is to help every Jr. Patriot grow as a reader and develop a true love for books. Each nine weeks, students will work toward their own AR reading goals—and your encouragement at home is the secret ingredient to their success.
Let’s cheer them on, celebrate their progress, and make this our biggest reading year yet! Together, we can inspire a school full of lifelong readers! 💙❤️
Each 9 weeks students will take the STAR test. An individual goal will be given to each student based on their STAR results. AR Parties will be attended by students who make 100% of their goal and have at least 85% accuracy.

📚 Readers are Leaders – Year 2! 📚
We’re kicking off another exciting school year with the Million Word Reader Challenge – Year 2! Last year, our Jr. Patriots read an incredible amount, and we can’t wait to see them soar even higher this year!
Reading opens doors to knowledge, creativity, focus, and lifelong learning. Whether it’s reading aloud together, talking about a favorite book, or carving out quiet reading time each day – every word counts toward our goal!
Families, we need YOU to join the challenge! Let’s inspire our students to not only become stronger readers but to fall in love with reading for life.
Let’s make this another record-breaking year!
Happy Reading! 💙❤️
Car line
Campus opens at 7:40. The car rider line will begin moving at that time. We ask for your patience if dropping your child off at school in the mornings. We will do our best to unload students as quickly as possible while maintaining safety guidelines and protocol expectations.
Car rider drop-off will end at 8:00 & the gate will officially close at 8:05 each day.
Car rider line dismissal will begin at 3:20 in the afternoon.
Afternoon Car Rider Line – NEW & IMPORTANT INFO
For everyone’s safety and to keep our car line running smoothly, please note: the first car that stops at the red “Stop Here” sign must wait for a wave from duty personnel before proceeding. Also, remember that left turns are not allowed when exiting the car rider line—right turn only. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our students safe and the line moving efficiently!
