PBIS Rewards
Here at Cecil Picard, we take pride in our PBIS program. We love to celebrate good behavior!
Our PBIS expectations are:
Be ready to learn.
Be responsible.
Be respectful
Be safe.
Some of the main ways we praise students for following expectations is by giving them "Cool Cash", by giving classes "Chain Links", recognizing Star Students each month, and by having special celebrations at the end of each grading period.
Cool Cash
These are earned by INDIVIDUAL students when they are following expectations. Students can spend these in a variety of ways.
PBIS Passes-Students can purchase PBIS passes from the PBIS store. These passes allow students to redeem certain privileges.
PBIS Store- Students will be given the opportunity to spend their Cool Cash on items in the PBIS store on designated days of the week.

Monday- 5th graders and Ms. Jill's Pre-K Class
Tuesday- Kindergarteners, Fourth Graders, Ms. Ashley's Pre-K Class, and Ms. Ramsey's Class
Wednesday- 3rd graders and Ms. Emily's Class
Thursday- 2nd graders and Ms. Caitlyn Class
Friday- 1st graders, Ms. Autumn's Pre-K Class, and Ms. Emily's Class
Classroom Raffles/Stores- Students can purchase items and/or passes within their classrooms as per teacher.
Chain Links
These are earned by homeroom CLASSES when the class is working together to follow expectations.
When the class earns 20 chain links, the class decides on a reward.
All class rewards will be redeemed on Wednesdays.
The class is recognized over the intercom for the whole school to hear.
They get a star on the PBIS bulletin board in front of school.
Star Students
Star students are those who have exhibited excellence, shown tremendous improvement, or have been seen consistently following our school-wide expectations. Each month, every homeroom teacher will select one Star Student of the Month.
These students are rewarded with a certificate and school recognition over the intercom. Their pictures were taken for the school sites as well as the newspaper, and they will receive special privileges within their classrooms.
Parents/ guardians are invited to eat breakfast with their child during a designated week.
Grading Period Celebrations
Celebrations take place at the end of every grading period. Students who go the entire grading period without any major office referrals get to participate in these events. Students start fresh for every grading period event.
End of the Year Event Color Run
The end of the year event is a celebration of the entire school year. Students who go to the entire school year with no more than one major office referral and have no in-school or out-of-school suspensions get to participate in this event.
