It’s that time of year again at CPE! This November, we’re kicking off a new season of gratitude by celebrating our amazing teachers and staff through words of kindness and appreciation. 💛
Your thoughtful messages remind our team how much they’re valued and make such a difference in their day! You can complete the form as many times as you’d like to recognize anyone who has made a positive impact on your child.
Let’s spread the love and fill CPE with gratitude all month long! ❤️💙

🌟 Shining Stars Celebrations! 🌟
We’re thrilled to launch a new event at Cecil Picard to honor our Star Students each month who consistently demonstrate integrity, resilience, respect, and responsibility. Join us in celebrating their hard work and positive impact! Please note, this once a month celebration will be replacing our STAR student breakfast.
Attendance Matters—Every Day & On Time!
Being at school and on time each day helps our Jr. Patriots start strong and stay on track with their learning. Morning routines and first lessons set the tone for the day, and every minute counts. We understand that sometimes children may be too sick to attend, and we want them to stay home to rest and recover when that happens. Otherwise, we encourage all students to be present and ready to learn each day. Thank you for helping your child build strong habits and make the most of every school day!
CPE Blood Drive & CPE Reading Day
A special shoutout to Ridge Ramsey in 5th grade for being a Million Word Reader! 🌟📚
Way to go, Ridge — your dedication to reading is truly inspiring! 💙
Shoutout to Mrs. Kaylin’s class for winning the APEX Glow Party Challenge!
Your hard work, teamwork, and Jr. Patriot spirit paid off!
CPE held their Monthly 4-H meeting this week and students learned about Wetland food webs. 4-H members participated in an activity showing the connectivity between all members of the food web such as producers and herbivores.
Family Engagement
Cecil Picard AR 2025-2026
This year, we’re taking our AR reading goals to the next level! 📚 Our mission is to help every Jr. Patriot grow as a reader and develop a true love for books. Each nine weeks, students will work toward their own AR reading goals—and your encouragement at home is the secret ingredient to their success.
Let’s cheer them on, celebrate their progress, and make this our biggest reading year yet! Together, we can inspire a school full of lifelong readers! 💙❤️
Each 9 weeks students will take the STAR test. An individual goal will be given to each student based on their STAR results. AR Parties will be attended by students who make 100% of their goal and have at least 85% accuracy
CPE PBIS Information
At CPE, we’re committed to reducing office referrals by embracing PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports). PBIS sets clear expectations, reinforces positive behavior, and provides consistent support to help students make great choices. By recognizing and rewarding positive actions, we’re building a respectful, productive, and fun school community.
Grading Period Celebrations
Celebrations take place at the end of every grading period. Students who go the entire grading period without any major office referrals get to participate in these events. Students start fresh for every grading period event.
PBIS Event 2: Mitch the Magician on December 19th
Cool Cash Canteen
School Store
Each week, all grade levels have the opportunity to stop at the school store in the morning to purchase items with their cool cash on their designated grade level day.

📚 Readers are Leaders – Year 2! 📚
We’re kicking off another exciting school year with the Million Word Reader Challenge – Year 2! Last year, our Jr. Patriots read an incredible amount, and we can’t wait to see them soar even higher this year!
Reading opens doors to knowledge, creativity, focus, and lifelong learning. Whether it’s reading aloud together, talking about a favorite book, or carving out quiet reading time each day – every word counts toward our goal!
Families, we need YOU to join the challenge! Let’s inspire our students to not only become stronger readers but to fall in love with reading for life.
Let’s make this another record-breaking year!
Happy Reading! 💙❤️
