CouchBot is a long-standing Roboclub idea, where the concept is that you place motors on a couch and make it remote controlled, and drive the couch around campus. In 2022, we decided to make CouchBot a reality. 

As part of the Mechanical team, I was responsible for planning and building the structural components of Couchbot, as well as mounting the motors. We decided to make CouchBot multi-use by making the backrest fold down, making CouchBot a multipurpose motorized cart as well as a couch. 

CouchBot was designed to fit inside the standard double door, as well as the freight elevator. We were able to drive CouchBot around campus with four people on the couch.
