Vision - America's Wild Horses are a National Icon
America's Wild Horses are not only descendants from the Spanish Introduction around 1516 but carry genetic DNA from ancient equines. Equus caballus is a recognized species which has been present in North America for thousands of years. This is no longer a subject for dispute. It is settled science. What you were taught in school that the solar system has 9 planets has also recently changed. Pluto was determined to no longer meet the definition of a planet.
Science moves on when new facts are correlated.
As a Native Species - equus caballus - disserves protection.
Congress should act to declare the Wild Horse a Native Species
Point of Order for Wild Horses
Calling out Congress to properly execute their duty to oversee Federal Spending is where the leather meets the trail. The action of calling out Congress to do the ‘Right Thing – Socially’ is harmless. It has no impact on the fate of America’s wild horses.
The clamor of voices to stop mistreating America's wild horses has had modest success. While the social debate goes on the BLM/FS/NPS continue their march
unimpeded towards the extermination of an entire native species.
To stop the mistreatment of America's wild horses ONLY requires exposing TWO things. These illegal acts benefit two classes of abusers:
1) Big Ag benefits by making illegal use of 'Checkoff' funds for lobbying
2) Executive Branch budget requests benefit - BLM/FS/NFS (Dept of Interior) because they engender FRAUD WASTE AND ABUSE :
a) FRAUD - Misrepresent the data collected at taxpayer expense
b) WASTE - Purposefully ignore modern science which - if integrated
into their programs would improve efficiency
c) ABUSE - Purposefully operate failed programs at a loss - in order
to satisfy the Big Ag lobby effort
The control over these unlawful actions rests with Congress. Farm 'Checkoff' funds are demonstrably being used to fund the lobby for the Big Ag - Resource Gathering industries. Congress is just the lap dog for industry based on the OVERWHELMING PUSH from these illegal funds.
Using Data from the BLM - their own arguments do not stand up.
Add more cattle if the conditions won't support wild horses - Huh?
