On 18th April all DofE pupils attended the planning day in preparation for the upcoming Practice Expedition.

Pupils learnt the following:

• Introduction to navigation
• Tent skills
• Stoves, food & menu planning
• Kit and rucksacks packing
• First aid & dealing with emergencies

Important information: Rucksacks

Rucksacks will now be issued to pupils on 6th June directly after school in the Performance Hall. It is essential that all pupils collect their rucksacks in preparation for the Practice Expedition. When packing the rucksacks, make sure that there is enough space remaining for the tent and stove that will be issued to them whilst on expedition. Remember, if it doesn't fit, don't bring it.

Rucksacks will be returned to the expedition provider at the end of the weekend's expedition. All personal items will be transferred to plastic sacs for pupils to return home with.
