YEAR 10 Work Experience WEEK

Walkden High School remains one of the few schools, locally, that offer work experience as part of their KS4 curriculum. We believe that a week of work experience is a very valuable part of each pupils personal development through secondary education.

In the past, we have found that the most effective placements are those which are arranged by pupils themselves through parents, friends or relatives. After all, job searching skills are perhaps the most valuable of all employability skills, and what better way to develop them by find your own work experience placement.

To confirm your placement you need to return a completed Work Experience Self-Placement Form. Mrs Richardson has posted self-placement forms to all parents, however copies are available for the Careers area of the LRC, if required
