Pride Club

Pride Club is another great club run by Miss Gittins, it's a club where people can socialise without hiding themselves as everyone is accepted in this club, even if you're not LGBT, but want to support the community, we'll all welcome you into the club.

Pride Club offers a safe space to express yourself and hosts a range of activities, be it school trips or creating posters, to express yourself and show your well-encouraged pride.

Pride Club is a good place to attend because it allows pupils who are questioning or need support to receive advice. The club members are friendly and we all always make decisions are a group to ensure that everybody is happy with the current activity.

There are people from every year group who attend so you don't need to worry about knowing no one if you're considering joining, I recommend the club to any student contemplating joining, it's a great club.

Debate Mate

Debate Club is a club I have been attending since it first started, I enjoy it very much as the club members and Miss Gittins, the teacher who runs the club, have grown close and it's like a mini family.

We have a great time there and learn lots of skills in debating which help improve confidence to take into the bigger world. I've enjoyed the club very much and seeing me and my friends become better at debating and the club growing has been amazing.

This is an amazing club to attend because as well as having fun in school, we get to debate outside of school in competitions too. I recommend this club to anyone wanting to attend a new club.

Chess Club

Chess Club is a club I have been attending since Year 7-8, the club is extremely popular and isn't just limited to chess, people are warmly welcomed into the club to play games such as Connect 4 and Yu-Gi-Oh, which have both become very common in the club. Many people from all year groups attend the club, and although the club is very busy, it's open to new members who are frequently joining. The club is open three days a week so people don't have to struggle to attend, though some attend all three days. The club is one I would recommend because of its popularity and flexibility in both times and games, it's also a great place to go to learn chess as many beginners-experts attend and will happily teach you how to play.
